Spent a part of tonight watching the documentary Eames: The Architect and the Painter (2011), a decent if very 2010s PBS film (it's narrated by then-It Dude/now-noted creep James Franco...) about the design super-couple Charles and Ray Eames. While I was not super-enthralled by the documentary itself (first half's pretty rote for these, second half does delve into the darker side of their partnership), the Eames and their studio Eames Office are fascinating themselves and apparently have a whole lot of other media available about them and all of the houses, films, and chairs they pumped out during the mid-20th century.
Note: There's a lot here, and it's barely scratching the surface, by the way - these two made a huge enough impact in several fields that you could spend hours trying to learn more...
