There's not a whole lot going on aside from getting myself back into Normal Mode but as is the case recently, Reddit and Tumblr keep gifting me with all sorts of weird shit, including a wild story about communal puzzle club-induced madness.
Today's album is the soundtrack to Streets of Fire (1984), a movie that's both uniquely strange and somehow also really tiresome (I've posted the trailer below the album). Mileage varies but it does have Willem Dafoe involved in a sledgehammer fight and the soundtrack is very much an "only the '80s" mood. [Added 9/7/25: Apparently it's also a big influence on cyberpunk aesthetics, which both I've never heard of and totally makes sense - added an article from Polygon before the trailer for more context.] The featured image is from Shubham Dhage. - AB 9/3/25
