I know very little about Jane Goodall other than as "the chimpanzee-researcher" but was heartened about how positive her legacy actually was according to all the obituaries. This article I saw linked on Bluesky (written while she was alive and turning 90 last year) is one of the better encapsulations of this:
Otherwise, nothing else major to report. Watched the first season of an anime called The Apothecary Diaries yesterday - it was pretty good but definitely has a lot of those "This Is Anime" qualities that may turn some people off from it (chibis, large-breasted women, the prettiest of pretty-boys, etc.) but the way it handled both its dramatic and comedic elements was well-done (possibly due to it being originally a novel series, I suspect) and kept me engaged the whole time. Once Netflix gets the second season away from Crunchyroll, I'll happily check it out and that's the best praise I can give something like this. If curious, here's the official trailer for the series:
