November 8, 2025 (Calling a Hiatus)

I'll be honest: I haven't been feeling it with either the journal entries or the blog overall lately, so I'm going to call a rough hiatus for the rest of 2025 for daily journal posts. On the plus side, doing those has helped remind me to tend to this blog regularly and not just let three months go by without a thing. Recently I tried to mix them up by adding "offerings" but that was only turning into more of a chore without adding much else of substance about what's actually going on in my life. Hence putting a soft stop until around the new year.

Unlike the Summer Sabbaticals, I'm not prepping up any posts for while I'm "away." Instead I'll just chime in when I feel like I've got something interesting going on, sort of like what I did before April when I started up the journals. Aside from that, I'm going to be focused on several other endevors in my personal life. Cultivating new relationships, bolstering old relationships, make some headway on learning Spanish (might start blogging en español!), and generally getting my shit together as I turn 40. A lot has happened this year and next year is probably going to be more intense, so I'll need to get well-rested and ready.

So, yeah, not really a good bye - I'll still be posting things, probably just micro-posts and Something Interestings - but putting a pause on the daily journal entries until I feel like there's a reason to either bring them back or re-configure them to something better. - AB 11/8/25
