This weekend was dedicated to kicking off Pride Month with a two-day cornhole tournament, which we somehow (miraculously) won! Weather sucked yesterday but this all happened unexpectedly so I'm glad we just rolled with it. My partner knew the people who organized it and neither of us knew the event was even occurring as we took our dog to the park. This fortuitous set of events led to us now having a high-quality camping cooler and some good outdoor stools (we honestly thought we were going to lose from the start...) so I'm looking forward to using all those later this summer. That with the sun finally sticking around today marks a pretty good start to this month. - A.B. 6/1/25

P.S. The album for this post is Luther Vandross's Never Too Much (1981), since the title song was playing during the initial part of the cornhole event and has been stuck in my head all weekend. I've listened to this album before several times and it's a pretty smooth affair. Featured image is a photo from Tye Doring.
