Biggest thing going on is catching up with work and planning for summer activities. Bummed to find out this morning that Pocket is shutting down in October, so I'm downloading my CSVs with all the links I've saved there. I haven't used it since early last year but it was a good app to use when you needed to work around pesky paywalls. Sort of feels like a lot of things I've taken granted for during the last 10 years are either closing up or degrading into irrelevance (looking at you, Duolingo and Spotify...). Time happens, though, and something cool will probably take their places.

Today's album is continuing off my "nostalgia for 2000s indie bands making live albums" kick, this time being LCD Soundsystem's The Long Goodbye (2014). This one is personal since I had high hopes to go to that show and religiously waited on Ticketmaster the morning of ticket-drop (in spite of being laid off the day before), only to have the fucking scalpers take that away from me. I ended up going to New York anyways and had a great time at the Destroyer concert at Webster Hall that night but it still stings a little that I could've been there instead... Anyways, it's a good album and a fun listen if you have 3 hours to spare. - A.B. 5/29/25

P.S. Featured image is a photo of some houses in Oklahoma City taken by Braden Jarvis. Thought it looked cool. Weather here is fluctuating between sunny, cloudy, and possibly rainy (standard May stuff here).
