Journaling has both been beneficial but also perhaps a backfire. I've been more temperamental and unfocused lately, obsessing more about blog post ideas than attending to the things I need to focus on right now. Thinking about taking a sabbatical later this month and just queueing up some micro-posts and maybe a Something Interesting. For right now, I don't know what I want to do but I do know there are things I should be doing. Focus on blogging is not one of those things, unfortunately, but I'll play it by ear. It's a sunny day but I'm feeling gloomy. I hope I'll get over it soon. - A.B. 6/11/25

P.S. Today's album is Die Reklamation by Wir sind Helden (2003). I first heard it on a trip to Germany when I was 17 and fell in love with the whole album. I've honestly not heard much of their other albums (recalled that this was kind of their Big Album and there was a marked decline in quality, so I didn't think much more on it...) but this holds a special place in my heart. I'm even humming "Denkmal" right now as I type this...
