After a jam-packed weekend, things have gotten quiet again and we're off to planning for other summer events. The situation in L.A. is scary to watch and has me nervous about how D.C. is going to be this weekend with the big military parade and No Kings protests expected. I love this city but it's not always for the faint of heart or for anyone who desires consistency... Spent much of last night going down rabbit-holes about all sorts of subjects and may have some new micro-posts to share during the next couple days. Otherwise, same-old same-old as the weather keeps bouncing between sunny, cloudy, and rainy with a slight haziness to connect it all together.

On a side note, today happens to be National Black Cow Day. I'm not a huge lover of root beer floats but it does give me an excuse to post a video of Steely Dan playing "Black Cow" and the album it came off of, 1977's Aja (which is not my favorite Dan album - those two will be in a follow-up micro-post today). - A.B. 6/10/25
