The biggest headache in coming back from trips is returning to the everyday matters but also not falling into the same traps. Right now, it's been difficult trying to balance that out. I'm hoping that by getting our decompression out of the way, I'll be able to focus on getting our house back in order and more improved than before.

The primary issue is that we have a lot of stuff all over the place and not a lot of motivation to get it back to where it belongs. Plus there were major sales all over online last week and we now have more things added to clutter that we need to sort. The upside is that much of these are items we've been wanting to pull the trigger on for a while (boxwood panels for the patio wall, lighting setup for behind the TV) but it does just add to the chaos in the mean time. This is also before adding the fact that the seal on my dishwasher appears to be broken as of this morning...

Long-short of it: there are things to do and we need to do them this week without driving ourselves mental.

Weather's been bouncing between sunshine and thunderstorms. Today's album is Adventures in Paradise by Minnie Ripperton (1975) and the featured image is from Max Petrunin. Also including a short video of Werner Herzog appreciating the work of Buster Keaton as a bonus. - 7/14/25
