Not growing up Catholic, Good Friday was never a huge deal for my family. The Methodist Church we went to had services but I don't recall going to any. So today is just a regular Friday, complete with the usual goofy news. Today I learned that a school district in Texas somehow banned my home state's flag due to "frontal nudity." So there's that.

I started reading Roy Peter Clark's Writing Tools last night, so I'm feeling a little self-concious. My verbs are a bit too passive and I rely on abverbs too much when I spit out my blog posts. It's a good thing I'm reading this book and I'm hoping this improves my writing style.

Also remembered why I like Sheetz a lot - don't have easy access to them like I did when I lived in central Pennsylvania. Overall a quiet Friday. I'm good with that. - A.B. 4/18/25
