Micro-post #84: Good advice on drawing fundamentals [Basic Knowledge Stuff #9]

I have a touch-and-go relationship with drawing, in that I can draw simple cartoony figures but not much else. I've always like drawing but never quite had the patience to do it as a full hobby but I've made a resolution to fix that during my 40s (learning to play the guitar, figuring out how to take actual good photos, and picking up another language are my other resolutions). While looking for perspective on things like perspective, I came across some sage advice on Reddit from people far more qualified than myself on this subject. As I'm on sabbatical right now, I figure this is a good time to drop these here for your usage. (Side note: the line about screaming in the last comment is related to the original poster yelling in all caps at the initial response from the writer...)

Reminder: I'm currently taking a blogging sabbatical and this was a pre-planned scheduled post. If there's typos or mishaps, I'll take care of them once I'm back. Thanks for understanding! - AB
