Micro-post #223: My favorite Halloween albums (and an Instagram post of silly spooky "Pants" comics) [Halloween 2026 #1]

While the season starts in early September for me (immediately after Labor Day), I'm going to dedicate several of my posts this month to the actual Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Halloween. So expect more posts dedicated to spooky, ooky, kooky stuff for the next four weeks. Starting with this entry, I'm providing some of my favorite albums I like to play on repeat during October to get me in a festive mood. None of these are particularly scary (Halloween's not just about horror and chills...), but they definitely fit the mood in some way or another. Many will be familiar, but also not as ubiquitous as "The Monster Mash" or "Ghostbusters," so there's that...
