The "lavender scare" during the 1950s is up there with Stonewall as one of THE key parts of queer history here in the United States, and there's plenty documented out there about it. Since I didn't cover it during last year's Pride posts, I wanted to at least give it some attention despite not having too much to add to it. If you know nothing about it, these should be good starting points in learning more:
