Micro-post #185: Some very detailed histories behind "Sweet Home Alabama" (from Reddit)

Full disclosure: I actually dislike Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" immensely due to some negative emotions tied to it from when I was in college (not to mention that stupid-ass Kid Rock song where it's smushed up with Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London"...). Yet somehow, thanks to some Redditors, I have a better appreciation for what went behind making it.

Does that make me like the song now? No, but I might be cooling a bit on my dislike knowing it's not some reactionary goober anthem many others made it out to be.
