I haven’t posted in a while, so I’m making a housekeeping post until autumn. Summer always becomes a time for other – primarily good - things to take priority in my life, causing any hobbies to take a backseat. Since this blog and writing in general are part of my hobbies, it goes without saying more…

With two months of not posting anything, I’ve also given some thought as to how I want to take this blog in the near future:
Interesting Things Roundups: These were turning into an exercise in link-hoarding and were becoming too unwieldly to post in a timely fashion. Kept thinking I was going to post at least quarterly but now moving towards an annual roundup instead. Also realized I was picking a majority of my links from the same 7-8 sources and a lot of the articles were either just listicles or about topical subjects that had a limited shelf-life. The next round-up's going to be posted sometime around December and trimmed down to only the articles I think are truly unique/interesting from 2024.
Miscellanies: Still have a number of subjects that I want to give a miscellany to but they take time to do properly, so they'll show up again at some point...
"Something Interesting" Posts: I don't like how dashed off these were becoming, especially since I'd normally write and post them within a couple hours of writing them. I've also felt the subjects I was recommending were fine but also could use more time and analysis before writing a post on them. I'm planning to be more methodical about what I suggest and how I write these posts.
Essays and fiction: I haven't actually written either of these kinds of posts in a long while and would really really like to do that again. Need to just buckle down and do it.
Looking forward to adding more to this blog, once I figure out how to carve the time and put in the work necessary to make it better.
